Now Enrolling

FAP Processing Group
A year-long behavioral process group for adults who want to understand and shift the interpersonal patterns that keep them stuck. Using Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), the group focuses on what happens in real time—how you show up, how you connect, and what gets in the way.
Members practice new behaviors in session with immediate feedback that supports clarity, flexibility, and more satisfying relationships outside of therapy. A few openings remain for January start.

How I Work
At Axis, therapy is practical and personal. I combine effective strategies with a flexible, collaborative process designed to fit your needs.
Philosophy
Everyone comes to therapy with their own history, strengths, and challenges.
Treatment at Axis is flexible, research-based, and tailored to what’s most helpful for your goals.
Process
We begin with a clear assessment of current struggles and what you want to change.
Together we build a plan, apply interventions, and check in regularly to make adjustments that keep treatment effective.
Approach
I primarily draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-focused treatments (PE, CPT).
My work also incorporates transdiagnostic models like the Unified Protocol, FAP, and mindfulness-based interventions when appropriate.

About Dr. Finkelstein
I’m a clinical psychologist specializing in anxiety, OCD, trauma, and emotion dysregulation.
My approach combines evidence-based treatment with warmth, irreverence, and practical tools tailored to your goals and everyday life.
